RAREVINCI GETS EXPERIMENTAL FOR SINGLE "DREAMS TURNT NIGHTMARES (FT. ZERPTI OZ)"

Updated: Jan 14

17-year-old Nebraska-based artist, Rarevinci, released his latest single, entitled “Dreams Turnt Nightmares (ft. Zerpti OZ),” just over a month ago. In only the best ways, Rarevinci is a strange phenomenon. Mixing his many influences composed of artists such as Lil Uzi Vert, Drake, and the late XXXTentacion, the young artist seems to be genre-bending his way into his own identity.

Featuring guitars that rival the current pop-punk resurgence and hallucinogenic-ly dreamy melodies that feel nostalgic of the early 2010s electronic wave, the artist and accompanying collaborator write from a place of emotional pain and heartache. Further layered with Big-Room drums and harmonized autotune-filled vocals, Vinci’s coarse and melodic flow intertwines itself brilliantly into scenes that feel almost conversational, as if we’re in a nightclub rave kicking it with him. Guest feature, Zerpti OZ, delivers a similar experience with a verse grounded in self-observation and revelation. Eccentrically conveyed in all its Hyperpop essences, OZ poises herself as a shimmering beacon.

Packed with late-night feels and up-tempo energy, this track has no shortage of the type of thrill we’d love to see more of.
